2026 Texas Miata Roundup Runs

We’re excited to offer a variety of scenic, historical, cultural, and culinary driving experiences during the 2026 Lone Star Roundup. The runs described below are those currently planned and represent the kinds of adventures that will be available to participants.

We hope this preview gives you an idea of the many possibilities being considered for an enjoyable weekend of driving and fellowship.

Please Note: All listed drives are tentative and subject to change based on weather, road conditions, safety, and overall event participation. Final routes and details may be adjusted as the event approaches.

Northwest Palo Pinto RunTake a relaxing drive through Palo Pinto County with a stop in Palo Pinto to visit the renowned Old Jail Museum. From there we proceed to Graford to have lunch at “The Café”, an interesting restaurant with period décor and large portions.
Northwest Possum Kingdom RunJoin us for an extended cross country run through Palo Pinto county highlands. We arrive at scenic Possum Kingdom Lake where we will have lunch at the “Pie House X Hemmingways” overlooking the lake. Return to Granbury via FM 4, one of the most scenic roads in this county.
Valley Mills Oenophiles Delight RunCome for a delightful ride south through Bosque River country.  There will be a stop at the interesting Bosque Museum, but the main destination is the highly rated Valley Mills Vineyard with scenic views over the surrounding area. We will stop for at least an hour (Maybe more!) to allow sampling of the local wines on offer. The return trip will be a quick run directly back to Granbury.
America 250 Veteran’s History TourRide with us on a historical tour of interest to history buffs and veterans. In Mineral Wells we will visit the Fort Wolters Monument and the National Vietnam war museum. Moving on to Weatherford, we stop for lunch and optional visits to the Vintage Car Museum and the Museum of the Americas. From Weatherford we head south back to Granbury on easy roads.
Dublin Heritage and Cheese Cave RunEnjoy a scenic drive through winding roads and rolling hills on our way to historic Dublin. We will visit the Ben Hogan Museum, the Dublin Rodeo Museum, and the unique Veldhuizen Cheese Cave before stopping for lunch at Granny Clark’s Café. This is a full day run of over 100 miles featuring driving enjoyment, Texas history, and local flavor.
Loco Coyote Country RunTake a pleasant ride through Hood County countryside, passing the legendary Loco Coyote Grill, long known as a favorite destination among motorcyclists. We’ll travel through Tolar before stopping for lunch at Hammond’s BBQ in Glen Rose, or the Loco Coyote if it is open. Approximately 90 miles of enjoyable Texas back roads.
Hico Chocolate Adventure RunJoin us for a relaxing drive along scenic back roads to the charming town of Hico. The highlight of the trip is a visit to Wiseman House Chocolates, with time to explore the shops around downtown before returning to Granbury. No organized lunch is planned, but several dining options are available in town.
Norwegian Culture And Fine Dining RunA special Friday afternoon only run through former Norwegian settlements ending with dinner at “Olafs” in Clifton, a fine dining establishment specializing in Norwegian dishes. This is a great option for those looking for a unique Friday dinner activity. Upscale casual dress, return to Granbury at your leisure.
Clifton Classics Car Museum RunHead down through Bosque County to Clifton where we will visit the Clifton Classics Car Museum. Afterwards head to Clifton square for a light lunch and shopping at the White Horse Station emporium. Head directly back to Granbury via Tx 6 and Tx 144.
