Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights, a Texas tradition every year during the Fall semester, determines the State Football champions in 12 Interstate Scholastic Divisions. The divisions are based on the number of students per district which determines whether they play 6 or 12 man football. The ChaIlenge recognizes the Texas High School State Champions of 2023.

Instructions for Friday Night Lights, 2025 Texas Miata Challenge:

1. To complete the Challenge, drive to 10 of the 12 Division Champions FootbalI Stadiums, take a picture of you and your Miata. If the stadium gates are locked or other catastrophic conditions exist take the best picture possible of you and your Miata. Worst case scenario a picture in front of the High School with you and your Miata.

2. EMAIL your pictures to lsmc2020ND@gmail.com. Or POST to the Lone Star Miata Club Facebook page.

3. The Challenge ends September 30, 2025. To be counted in the Challenge, the pictures need to be posted or emailed by September 30.

Participating in the Challenge is a fun way to see parts of Texas you may not have thought of going to or exploring. Think about inviting others to come along on the Challenge. Should you go with a group, a single Miata picture of you and your Miata is appreciated.

4. Those who complete the Challenge will be recognized at the Lone Star Miata Club October 2025 club meeting.

You are asked to drive to the TEN of the TWELVE designated locations around the state and take a picture of you and your Miata at each spot.

Participating in the Challenge is a fun way to see parts of the state you may not have thought of going to. Invite other members of your club to go with you, or strike out on your own. Whichever way your choose, you get to drive a Miata across Texas!

Drive to each of the designated spots in Texas. Take a picture of you, your Miata and the specific BBQ Joint. If both driver and co-pilot are participating, both can appear in the same picture. Group pictures are allowed. Participants must drive to their choice of 10 locations. Complete 10 Friday Night Lights locations and you will receive a specially designed pin. T-shirts will be available for purchase. Pictures can be submitted by TEXT, EMAIL or POSTED to the Lone Star Miata Club Facebook page. TEXT or EMAIL entries to David Dixon by September 30, 2025
